Theatre Experience Host Location: Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE Reports to: Front of House & Venue Manager Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Purpose The Theatre Experience Host serves as the welcoming face and first point of contact for all guests at The Courtyard Playhouse. This role focuses on delivering warm, energetic, and memorable guest experiences through excellent customer service, proactive engagement, venue tours, and front-of-house operations.
The position requires a confident, outgoing, and fun individual who thrives on interacting with people, enjoys bringing visitors into the theatre, and takes pride in creating the kind of positive experiences that guests love to mention in their reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Greeting & Engagement
Greet all walk-in visitors warmly and professionally
Confidently step outside the door to invite passers-by and potential customers inside for venue tours
Conduct engaging and informative tours of the theatre facilities
Sales & Business Generation
Proactively sell workshops and similar
Earn commission on all new business generated through tours, walk-ins, and proactive outreach
Customer Enquiries & Operations
Manage all enquiries via walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp, social media, and hello@ email
Process payments (cash & card) on the POS system
Follow up on enquiries and leads until successfully closed
Record and track inquiries and potential customers
Front of House & Venue Presentation
Maintain a clean, tidy, and inviting front desk and lobby area (day and evening setup)
Support opening and closing procedures for the venue and classes
General Team Responsibilities
Participate in daily cash-up procedures
Provide outstanding overall customer service
Assist with content capture when required
Attend weekly team meetings
Report directly to Management

Strong verbal communication skills (fluent English required; Arabic is an advantage)

Positive team player who enjoys working in a creative theatre setting
Ideal Profile
Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or front-of-house roles (theatre or arts background is a plus)
Motivated by commission and generating new business
Comfortable using POS systems and handling digital communication (WhatsApp, email)
Well-groomed with a professional and presentable appearance
Passionate about theatre, improv, workshops, and creating memorable guest experiences
