Introduction

This is a full-time paid internship for recent graduates or gap year students who want to gain practical experience in business operations within a creative organisation. Working closely with the CEO, COO and Corporate Supervisor, you'll support the day-to-day running of the business while developing valuable skills in administration, project coordination, communications and organisational management.

A Week in the Life

One morning you might be preparing presentations for an important client meeting, updating business reports or analysing information in Excel. Later in the week you could be coordinating meeting notes, helping organise company projects, preparing documentation, researching new ideas, or supporting the leadership team with administrative tasks that keep the organisation moving forward.

No two weeks are the same. You'll gain insight into how a business is managed while developing practical skills that are valuable across almost any industry.

What You'll Do

  • Provide administrative support to the CEO, COO and Corporate Supervisor
  • Prepare professional documents, presentations and reports
  • Assist with business administration and organisational tasks
  • Work with Microsoft Office and Apple productivity software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote and similar platforms
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
  • Conduct research and compile information to support decision-making
  • Help organise projects and monitor progress across departments
  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets and business documentation
  • Support internal communications and operational processes
  • Take on a variety of projects as business priorities evolve

What We're Looking For

  • A recent graduate or gap year student with an interest in business, operations or administration
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Confidence using productivity software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote and similar tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to take initiative
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Curious, eager to learn and willing to ask questions
  • Professional, reliable and able to handle confidential information appropriately
  • An interest in the arts or creative industries is a bonus, but not essential

The Courtyard Playhouse is more than just a theatre. It’s more than just a training centre.
